As I picked up the bag of Pasta Alfredo, I was impressed with how big the bag was. Usually I have found bags are about 1/2 cup per serving. These bags are 1 to 1 1/2 cup per serving. So right off the top I thought that was really good.
When I first opened the bag, I could smell the cheese and couldn’t help but notice how big the noodles were. They weren’t those foo foo noodles you see in some packages, where you think they are going to fall apart the minute you blow on them.
I put in the water and I chose to also add bone broth into the pot as I never seem to be able to leave well enough alone. When it boiled I threw in the noodles and as I was stirring in everything I realized I got a little over zealous and threw in the moisture pack with it, so I had to fish that out. But other than that little hiccup everything cooked evenly.
As I have a different frame of reference when it comes to food storage, I was expecting the noodles to be very thick with a gloppy texture. I was pleasantly surprised to find the noodles were perfection. I started feeling a little like Goldilocks. The noodles were not too hard, not too soft, but just right!
I decided not to wait to put them on the plate and grabbed a fork and went for the pan. The mixture was very mild. Now some people may not think that is a plus. However, you can always dress things up when it comes to food, but it is extremely difficult to dress things down when you get carried away in the seasoning department.
So, I added a little salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. I was thinking next time round I will experiment, and think about putting, curry, ginger and lime, just for grins and giggles. But this is the exact reason why I liked these noodles. They are so extremely versatile. When you are in an emergency situation and everything starts looking and tasting the same, you can pull out the herbs and have a little fun changing things around.
Legacy has it going on for sure and when it comes to food storage. You will never have to second guess quality.
Oh! Last night about 2am I woke up and thought, “hmmm, beef stroganoff.” So, there is one more idea, pop in some fried-up hamburger and onions, add some sour cream and there you go!

I have heard a lot about bone broth and how it helps give the body vital nutrients. I have always made my own and it takes a lot of hours and time that sometimes I just don’t have. So I was curious to get acquainted with Kettle and Fire Bone Broth.
I hadn’t been feeling well the day I decided to make soup, and although it was 90 degrees outside, soup sounded wonderful. I popped open some bone broth and took a sip out of it. I was immediately taken with how mild it tasted. Which, I was very happy about, because I knew right then and there I could put it in a smoothie of my choosing with little to no problem.
When I smelled the broth, I became hungrier than I first thought, so I decided to rummage in my food storage and find some potato cheese soup by Legacy. I was surprised at how big the package was. Usually food storage items give you ½ cup servings. This package gave you 1 to ½ cup servings, which was very nice indeed. I decided I wanted to use the bone broth, instead of using water as the directions had specified. It ended up being a great idea!
The first thing I noticed was the deep rich flavor that the chicken and mushroom bone broth gave the potato and cheese soup. The next thing I noticed was all the marvelous chunks of potato that came with each spoonful of soup and the smooth taste of cheese. You could even see pieces of carrots and parsley!
I was also very happy that the soup after eating it did not lay heavy in the stomach or give you a feeling of over-eating or that bloated feeling. The other plus I found was the Legacy soup as no GMO’s!
The soup was a big hit on this very warm summer day, because I went to the kitchen and the pot was in the sink waiting to be washed, completely empty of any contents that had not two hours before been completely full of deliciousness.
Even in 90 degree weather, don’t hesitate to eat some soup when it strikes your fancy!

Since I am endorsing certain products, I felt it was only proper that I should give you my thoughts on the different products that my family and I have tried.
Last year my husband had numerous mini strokes. This left him with some minor brain damage. As an example, when I asked him for a plate to put the chicken on that I had just taken out of the oven, he handed me a plate of cupcakes. If he was hungry, it didn’t occur to him to get up and get something to eat, or if he was cold, he no longer had the follow through to be able to understand to go put on a sweater.
He also wasn’t sleeping as well as he should and his anxiety and some depression were always looming at the forefront.
I decided to look into CBD oil and found it to be an extraordinary product in many ways. These are just a few of the many things CBD oil can do.
CBD hemp oil has a huge range of potential health benefits and uses, including reducing pain, soothing anxiety, lowering your risk of cancer, improving mood, protecting the immune system, balancing the metabolism, aiding sleep disorders, eliminating depression, preventing arthritic inflammation and healing the skin among others.
As I was giving it to my husband, I found slowly things started to change. He was sleeping better. His anxiety levels were way down and he was smiling more. Then a few months down the road, he started to get something to eat if he was hungry and put on a sweater if he was cold. It didn’t happen right away, but I felt the progress was wonderful.
I then decided to start taking it myself. I found within about a week I was sleeping so much better. And because I have some severe arthritis, I felt it was helping in that direction as well. My biggest obstacle was being consistent in taking it. I am still working on that one!
